Regarding

On Wednesday 24 July, the Carcassonne Festival is celebrating musical poetry with a double bill: come and vibrate to the bewitching rhythm of Pierre De Maere's sounds before plunging into the powerful words of Grand Corps Malade for an exceptional evening at the Théâtre Jean-Deschamps.
8.30pm: Pierre de Maere

Pierre de Maere, the revelation from Belgium, continues his ascent. Hostilities kicked off in 2022 with the release of his first EP, "Regrets", followed by his first album, "Regarde-moi" (2023). Buoyed by dazzling media and popular coverage, the success of his golden single "Un jour je marierai un ange", and a series of high-profile concerts in France and Belgium, Pierre de Maere never ceases to surprise and challenge us. He constructs his life like a work of art, an artist sublimated by art, profoundly free, radiant with instinct, insolently lucid despite barely ringing twenty. Straddling the divide between music, fashion and photography, Pierre de Maere's style (pronounced mare) is as bold as his clothing: flamboyant, iridescent, mutant. He cultivates his own garden and designs his own inner world, daring to mix and match styles without a care in the world, while never straying far from the realms of possibility offered by pop culture. A face of innocent beauty, androgynous and piercing.

9.45pm: Grand Corps Malade

To mark the release of his new album, REFLETS, Grand Corps Malade is back on stage with a new show! Initially, Grand Corps Malade had the idea of calling the album "Portraits" in the plural. He envisaged each song representing the portrait of a specific person, thing or place. Over time, however, this notion evolved, eventually leading to the choice of the title 'REFLETS'. For him, this new opus represents an opportunity to explore society's reflections, to capture the spirit of an era, to grasp the elements that surround us. This approach opens the door to many of the album's themes. The way we look at each other, our own reflection in the mirror or in the eyes of others. A not-to-be-missed concert at the Carcassonne 2024 Festival!
