Introduction to wine-tasting
A tasting workshop at Château l'Amiral, with Bénédicte, the owner and winemaker, is a fun, passionate experience to awaken all your senses!
Come as a family! This workshop can be done with children and while the parents are tasting the wine, the children can go and feed the goats and pigs.
€60 - Booking required
This summer, the Château l'Amiral is hosting apéritifs on the farm on 11 August!
And if you are not staying nearby, discover the interactive tasting via Zoom® with a selection of wine samples from Château l'Amiral. A fun way to satisfy your curiosity, to taste wines from the comfort of your home, and interact with the winemakers, just as though you were at the estate's cellar.
Wine, art & creation
Welcome to Château Auzias in Pennautier, the property of Dominique Auzias, founder of Le Petit Futé® editions.
Here, among the vines, a few minutes from Carcassonne, Poli, an Argentinian artist welcomes you into her beautiful world: a "multi-space" as she calls it, renovated with much charm.
Wine-tasting, art studio, temporary exhibitions in a single, charming space.
The Original Wine Tour €5 from Monday to Saturday, at 10am, 11am, 3pm and 4pm.
And to go even further: become a wine-maker for 3 hours
After tasting the estate's wines to "prepare your palate", all the equipment is provided (glasses, spittoons, assembly board) and it's over to you to experiment. With a graduated test tube in hand, you will use the four single-varietal wines to create your own blend.
Once your wine is finished, you'll bottle it and stick on your personalised label. Take your wine with you, to allow others to taste it.
Cheese and wine workshops
Taste the best cheese and wine pairings with the sommelier of the restaurant "La Table du Château de Pennautier".
On the menu: 3 cheeses, 3 wines and a visit to the cellar! These workshops are open to all wine lovers, beginners or experienced.

A tasting with a view over the medieval city
What would you say to a tasting with a view over the stunning medieval city of Carcassonne? The Comptoir de la Cité, the former Palais de la Micheline with historic monument status, has been enhanced by Les Vignobles Foncalieu. An iconic "art nouveau" site! Tastings from Tuesday to Saturday, from 10am to 7pm and afterwork evenings on Thursdays and Fridays.
The Caveau du Domaine Lycée Charlemagne pairs the wines of the estate (IGP Cité de Carcassonne undergoing organic conversion) with a beautiful selection of local products and an art space. The centrepiece is above your head, the vault painted by Antoine Harillo, "l'Ode de l'Aude au Vin" (The Aude's Ode to Wine), in a pictorial style that he himself invented, called "Volutisme"... Unique! This is also the only active vineyard at an agricultural school in France, with on-site teaching for students.
"Oenolodge" in the vines
In the middle of the vines, with the Pyrenees as a backdrop, spend a unique weekend in "safari" tents.
Enjoy the jacuzzi on the patio before tasting the estate's wine in the company of the Brunel family in Laure-Minervois.
