3 days of celebration around the Tour

The cyclists will arrive in the Aude from Rodez on July 17 to head back to Foix on July 19, 2022.
The villages of the agglomeration located in the North and South of the city will see the famous caravan, then 2h later sweep the incredible rush of cyclists !

• Sunday 17th of  july Arrival à Carcassonne throught Villegailhenc (D118-D35), Conques-sur-Orbiel (D35-D101 A-D201) , Carrefour de Bezons ,  pont rouge, route Minervoise, arival line Boulevard Marcou .

• Monday 18th of july : rest day in Carcassonne

This year Carcassonne is both the finish city of stage 15, the city of rest and the start city of stage 16 !

In Carcassonne the Tour arrives on the boulevards. At the starting point, the village of the Tour is located at the Jacobins gate and on the alleys .
The cyclists always do a city tour before the actual start, usually given at the exit of the town .
The roads are usually closed about 3h before the riders pass through, we will publish the traffic plans as soon as we have them . The bus network is obviously impacted, we will give you all the practical information in due time.

With nearly 200 cyclists , the Tour de France 2022 for its 109th edition will start on July 2 in the new city of Roskilde, the former capital of Denmark. But be assured, the riders will soon be back in France and for our greatest pleasure the itinerary of the Tour will cross our agglomeration of Carcassonne for the 12th time. Unfortunately the happy coincidence of 15 years ago, who had set our magnificent city on fire for the arrival of the tour on July 14, will not be offered to us.
So, why not come for the week to enjoy both one of the most beautiful fireworks in the world and the passage of the Tour?

Safety instructions

• Be careful when collecting gifts from the advertising caravan.
• Do not cross the road to collect them, it distributes them on both sides of the road.
• Do not run next to the riders, do not spray the riders.Stay as far away from the road as possible. The aisles or curbs can be used by runners.
• Do not encroach on the road to take pictures.
• Pets must be kept on a leash.
• Watch your children and hold the youngest of them by the hand.
• Respect the responsible eco dimension of the Tour, don’t throw your garbage on the side of the road.
