Regarding
Maison Ventenac is a family affair... Established in 1973 by Alain Maurel and his father, the wine-growing estate is now in the hands of the 3rd generation. Stéphanie, the eldest of Alain Maurel’s 3 daughters, arrived with her husband, Olivier Ramé in 2010 to take over the estate and revamp its image. Thanks to his planet-wide training in wine-growing and oenology, Olivier succeeded in combining the “old world” heritage, passed down by his father-in-law, with the “new world” spirit. Located in the heart of the Cabardès AOC region, this 160-hectare vineyard (of which 30 hectares are rented) backs onto the Montagne Noire and enjoys both the Languedoc sun and the cool Atlantic influence, all year round. Maison Ventenac takes a responsible farming approach, for which it has been recognised by the main certifying body, “TERRA VITIS”.
