LE CANAL A VELO : LA REDORTE – HOMPS

Homps, a busy former harbour town for the wine trade, has many shops and is a lively place to make a stop. It's a vivid contrast to the lazy pace of the Canal du Midi and makes you realise that you're now in the heart of the Minervois area. Not far from Homps, the Jouarres lake could be a good place to relax (there's a swimming area supervised by lifeguards in summer and sailing activities).
