Tourisme & Handicap
The offices have been awarded the national Tourisme & Handicap label, regarding the four main types of disability: physical, mental, hearing, and sight.
This label, awarded by the State, is in response to a demand from disabled people who want to be able to choose their holiday freely. Thanks to technical support from the Agence de Développement Touristique de l'Aude, and to Mr Heuilly, a site survey was carried out.
The recommended alterations were completed, allowing totally independent access to the 3 sub-offices: hearing loop, access ramp, lowered welcome desk, documents in large print and braille, and a file containing accessible sites in the region and staff training.
Note: Establishments open to the public (shop, office, hotel, etc.) must have disabled access. Establishments open to the public (ERP) which do not have disabled access are required to register an Agenda d'Accessibilité Programmée (Ad'AP), or accessibility plan, which will allow for the necessary works to be undertaken with a fixed time period. more information
