Isolated from the nearby villages and roads, the Métairie Neuve domain regroups two different owners’: Pierre Arnaud and Marie-Hélène Boyer.
This land has a rich Mediterranean flora and fauna where you can discover the historic traces of human life in this part of the countryside.
The Visigoth cemetery
It was discovered in 1967. It was a cemetery from the Vth to the VIIth century, used by the rural populations whose accommodations haven’t yet been located. These tombs allowed the archeologists to discover funeral items that can now be viewed in the museum of Villarzel.
Mrs Boyer can guide you (in french) to see all these remains, or indicate you the paths to follow
