VISITE GUIDEE DU VILLAGE

Groups by prior arrangement can explore the town of Caunes, built around its famous Benedictine abbey, a key site in the Cathar region. The village is home to an incredibly rich heritage. As you wander through the medieval streets, you will come across the façades of Renaissance-style town houses, fountains made of red Caunes marble, washhouses and ancient ramparts, etc. The streets of the village are cobbled. The tour therefore requires a certain level of physical fitness given the narrow streets leading up and down the hill.
